I have a great 2pc 5wt glass Fenwick in terrific shape that I picked up last year ... but the grip has ridges/ripples from not being properly dried. Sanding didn't change the feel for my liking.. I wanted to replace the cork and save the lock-up seat (hooded under cork) and try to do both from butt up.

If I were to use the two above links as a rear grip and a foregrip on a build with a Fuji standard reel seat, would the seat sit nice between the two with no visible gaps? I wasn’t sure how grips without tenons would do with those standard reel seats.

Want to remove a reel seat, the locking mechanism is loose as the threads seem to be worn down a bit so I wanted to put new reel seat on. I have the rear grip off and have new grip after I replace reel seat.
Any suggestions welcome.
