I built a NFC Delta MB664 for topwater and hard jerk bait. It bombs 1/4 oz jerkbiat out a mile and I really enjoying jerking with the stiffer tip section. But this rod can't handle 1/8oz small jerk bait or soft jerk bait (zoom fluke jr). I imagine this will get some debates going. The part for that makes this the most difficult is not being able to put my hands on a Rod Blank before buying one. Hey guys was looking for some recommendations for a jerk bait rod.. I like to throw jerkbaits from 7/16-1/2 ounce on 8 pound test mono.. I want a blank that won't be too stiff to lose action on the jerkbait and has some play for the trebles..
