6 coats of tru oil, wet sanded next to last with 3000 then 5000 water proof sand paper, then put a coat of tru oil on the last wiped off excess, and let dry, rubbed with 0000 steel wool inbetween coats.

took a trim from the top of a reelseat form a St Croix Extreme rod that I had to put new guides and reel seat on and put a small titanium colored winding check.its on an Rainforest II 2wt fly rod blank that i am building into a ultralite spinning rod.

By the way, how about the butt guide, how should the line look going through the butt guide on the load test? Should it just touch the top of the butt guide ot lower?
