This blank has a medium action, I am looking for more of a fast action. The NFC blank says "full" action Can anyone explain this?

I was on the water yesterday when, while casting, my line wrapped around the tip of my micro light and ripped it out of my hand and off the side of the boat in 40 ft of water. I about cried as I watched my favorite trout rod sink out of sight. It was a Quantam Micro-light. It cant be purchased any more. So I'm gonna build me a new one. I am wanting short <5' fast action. I found S661-MHX, NFC

I have a Quantum microlight rod. It's 4ft graphite. The tip broke on it aND they don't seem to make it anymore. Can anyone suggest a blank? I would like something with a fast tip. Most of the micros I have seen lately are noodleish. I am looking for something stiffer. Any suggestions appreciated.

While I was in AZ on assignment my house was robbed and I lost Scott S4 3wt, St Croix Bank Robber 7wt, Redington RS4 5wt, TFO Professional 5wt, LLBean 10wt, 2 Ugly Stik saltwater boat rods, 2 Ugly Stik surf bait rods, custom Rainshadow conventional surf rod (I built), AFAW Esturary, and a Tsunami Airwave. I am going to slowly replace these with rods that I build. I am going to start with 2 piece

I had a Scott S4 until it was stolen. Great rod, I would like to build something comparable.

I am looking for suggestions for a blank for a 3wt 2pc rod to use in the freestone and limestone streams of PA. I would like to make it 8' or longer. Any suggestions

I've used a 5wt to throw 1/2oz to salmon/steelhead before buying a noodle rod.

Rainshadow blanks are the lure ratings real or light? Anyone use 1083F? I was looking at Dblue but they wont part with blanks.

I do not skish. Pencils and Bucktails would be the least thrown lures with this rod. mostly metal lips and topwater (popper and spook). Last rod was med action.

To fit Abu Record 61HC. Surf plugging 3/4- 4oz plugs. The reel weighs 13.4oz. My last 10'6" was either not balanced or to long. My shoulder hurt after about 10 min of working topwater baits.

Yes that is the Permagloss peeling from the blank. The epoxy over the thread wrap seems to have bubbled and peeled. The epoxy is also yellowed and has cracked at the guide feet.

This was a total rebuild. I stripped the rod to glass. Painted with Krylon Plasti-kote, sanded, alcoholed,Permagloss, wrapped, Flex-Coat Lite. I wore rubber gloves when handelling the rod to keep oil off. I'll try to attach photos later today. Maybe not enough sanding on the paint but the epoxy is also coming off the wraps.

I built a rod 2 years ago and the epoxy is peeling. Why? I used Permagloss on the blank and flexcoat lite on the wraps. Both are coming off in various places. Can I alcohol it and reapply to fix?

I built a 10' conventional plugging rod, Used O'quinn spiral, and my guides were tnsg 14 for the spiral and tsg 10 for the running. It casts like a dream and has taken 12lb bluefish. I am currently using 50lb stealth braid with 10lb drag.
