I have to say, micros and carpet don't work together very well. I've lost two size 3's this week in our frieze carpet. I've been down on my hands and knees, rubbing my hand around on the carpet. I've taken a bright shop light and shone it all over (found a black micro I lost over the winter!), but I still can't find the two AmTak Titan micros I dropped this week. Dangit anyways.

Wondering if it's just me, but every time I have someone come to pick up their new rod, or whenever I ship one off, I'm nervous, hoping that they'll like...worried that they won't. I have yet to have a customer not love their rod, but without fail, I've got knots in my stomach everytime. How about you's guys?

I've heard from a few drivers that there is a certain line of cars that don't really perform all that well. At times they have had issues when they're driving them, and the service hasn't been very good for them either with this particular car maker. I haven't had any issues myself, but I'm wondering if any other drivers out there have had any similar type experiences that any of us other drivers

Normally I'd call the retailer I'm buying from, but it's Saturday night. I'm leaving town tomorrow, and I'd like my order to be waiting for me when I get home.
So, I'm ordering ATC's NIRLF fly guides and want to get down to the 3's and 4's. Which ones are the right ones to match the NIRLF's? Is it the NIF's? Is it the NIMG's? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for a redundant type question, but which issue was that in?

What guides are there that compare in hardness to Sic guides? I've been trying to figure out if there's a line to compare or not. I know there are titanium framed guides that are lighter, but I'm unsure about the rings.
Any help would be appreciated.

Agreed, Billy. I'm reading this post going, "yeah right!" Not a chance a rod is making thousands of casts in a day. Funny stuff.

Just wondering if North Fork Spin Jig blanks are available yet. I'm looking specifically for SJ605-1.
The only site I've looked at is Mudhole's. But they've only got MagBass blanks listed. Anyone know somefin?

Sounds to me like Marty and Doc trying to get 1.21 jigowatts to power up the Flux Capacitor.

I used the Batson Forecast Dream Weaver and put mild pressure on it. Didn't hurt the sand papery stuff, and it did a good job on the seat.
Hope you're well, Tom.

They did cure after about 36 hours. I will say I really like the finish. I had the room at 70 degrees. Normally, I use a drying box with lamps in it, but I moved this summer and haven't got my new shop built and set up. S

My experience is pretty much the same. I've done four rods with my Threadmaster Lite, and they all took a long time to cure. Thought it was just me.

Tried both of them. I got one from AW. Who else sells Loomis blanks?

Any sponsors have one? I got the last one AW had. I need one or two more.

I can't find on Loomis' site what guides they use on IMX rods. They tell you what they use on GLX, but I guess they want the rest of the lines to be a secret!
Anywho. Anyone know what guides they use on IMX factory sticks?
Thanks!

Okay, so I finally had some time to build a new rod for myself. I've got a Phenix X-11B crankbait blank that I've been really excited about. I tried spray painting the reel seat a transparent royal blue. Turned out awesome. Built the handle this week, prepped the guides on Friday night and got them taped on. Wrapped the guides yesterday a.m. and epoxied. It's looking cool! After about 3 hours of

I'm going to try painting some reel seats. I saw a post about putting permagloss on atleast the threaded area of the reelseat. I thought permagloss heated a lot when it dries and would be bad for paint. I'm using Createx automotive paints. Any idea how it will react to permagloss?

What metal Fuji components are available, and who carries them? Thanks, guys.
Anyone know if there are lime green metallics available for winding checks?

It seems that they're gumming up in the size 3's. I know that some is making it through down to the reel, so it seems that it passes through even the 3.5's, but I think mainly it builds up in the 3's. I'm definitely not swearing off the micros. They're one of the neatest things to come along lately in my opinion.

I'm loving my micro guides, it's true. But I ran into my first real issue with them this week. Here in MN, we have cottonwood trees everywhere. I don't know how prevalent they are around the good ol' US of A, but there's tons of them around here. As it falls from the trees, it can really coat the surface of the lake. It catches on your lure, on your line, on your reel. It gets reeled into the ree

Looking for garnett metallic thread size A. It must be a discontinued color from Gudebrod. Anybody got some they would part with? Any sponsors?
Thanks in advance.

Tell us a little more, John. What was unimpressive or a let down on them? For the price, how do they compare to others?

Be sure to pass your frustration on directly to customer service at Phenix. I would have similar frustrations, and I have some Phenix blanks on the way to try out. But they need to hear directly from builders about these types of experiences in order to make corrections.
