Sorry, I should have said it's for temporary film to protect and keep clean new grips.

Hi all,
Could someone point me towards the plastic film used to protect cork grips, I presume it's some kind of heat shrink?
Cheers Jason

Hi all,
I need to replace the tip top on my Dan Craft Sig V 905 - 4 and don't know what size to order, I'm still currently using the rod and will be up until the replacement arrives so hoping someone will have the answer.
Best regards

Phil,
A few of the rivers I fish are 70% nymphing with 30% dry fly, the hatches usually come on quickly and don't last that long. At the moment I fish with two rod's on these rivers a 10' 4# built on an MHX blank and a 9' 5# on a DC SIGv. I'm looking at travelling lighter and be able to fish smarter and quicker to maximise the hatch. The Hend's GPX is perfect except I want my own build not an

Hi Spencer,
Thanks for the info. Do you have a link to photos of Stan's build as I'm not quite sure what you mean?
My idea is to add an extension piece between the butt section and the section with the stripper guide/s that way I can go from a euro style nymphing rod at 10' down to a 9' dry fly rod with no need to change reel or even take the line out of the guides.

Hi all,
Anyone know of a blank manufacturer that sells a 4# blank with additional 12" or 18" bottom sections so you could take a rod from 9' up to 10' or 10'6?
Along the lines of the Hends GPX -
CTS New Zealand will do a custom blank but for crazy expensive prices.

Chris,
Many thanks for that.
Looks like I will have to buy it Stateside as I can't seem to find any here in Europe, or look for an equivalent if there is one.
Cheers,
Jason

Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a thread that will give an iridescent green/ black effect similar to peacock herl for wrappings?

Hi all,
I'm having big issues contacting Sevier Mfg regarding a replacement section for their 7' 3/4# 4 piece fly rod that snapped, being that I'm in the UK it is far easier and cheaper for me to email or use their form to email on their website, four messages later and still no response!
Are they still trading or away on vacation?
Any help gratefully appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Jason

Gavin,
Gudebrod garnet 0206 has worked really well with the Sig V's I've built and the gold 0340 is a perfect match for a tiger eye, as for guides being that I am fairly clumsy/hard on my rods I now only use NiTi's!
Good luck,
Jason

Looking good Dan and it will make ordering from the UK a whole lot easier!
Are you going to be stocking Fuji fly guides?
Cheers
Jay
