2. Tip question
Another novice question from me...
I’m just finishing a 7’6” rainshadow spinning rod. I’m using Fuji BKLAG -H 06L for runners. The vendor I bought the components recommended a BFAT 6 for a tip. The runners sit a bit higher off the rod then the tip. Is this ok or should I have gotten a different tip a with similar height off the rod?
Thanks in advance!

I am going to try out the Rainshadow 9001m. Plan to use the KR fuji guides with Fuji's suggested 25H, 12H, 8M, 7L reduction train. Did I get this right? Any suggests on the running guides? I use approx. 30lb braid with a short 20-30 flouro leader.
Thanks in advance

Hi all,
On my second build and want to explore blanks a bit. I’m looking for suggestions for a 7’6” blank - 8-17lb weight that I will match with either a 4000 or 5000 reel. Primary use is the false albie run in New England and mahi fishing While I always look for a good deal $$$ are not the primary driver. I typically prefer a fast taper.
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Update here - while I measured again, frankly am not sure the sizing of the second and 3rd reduction guides was shipped ( i have a ring size chart that is less than easy to match Ring’s to - although i am sure the first one is the 25 - 2nd and 3 rd are in question) I did lay out the guides on the rod. The reduction train laid out well with a good straight line down the axis of the reel through

OK. Thanks for all the responses. Norman, when I spec'd the kit, I spec'd it for the 7'-7'6" but I measured the actual guides when I received them. I'll take another look at it this evening to make sure I got it right.
Makes sense on why there are not more of these out in the production world. Thanks for sharing the info!

Thanks Roger - good to know. Out of curiosity, are the production rods using larger than needed guides?

I'm new to the site and new to rod building so I apologize in advance for silly questions and messed up terminology! Also, thanks in advance for any responses.
I'm building my first rod. It's a MHX 7'6" (L - 903 I believe) 8-17lb blank. I ordered the pre-packaged Fuji KL-H guide pack for the length blank. It came with a 25,16,10,5 for reduction guides and then 5-5's for running guide
