You can find some info on various setups on some of the fishing forums specifically for the NE. A few minutes with Google should get you some good information.
As Nick said, Brent Ikari from Sato made some of the Hard Merchandise rods.

I'm trying my hand at a gaff, and I want to put mahi mahi colors on one section - not a fish decal but the flank colors. I ordered a RodSkinz but am not happy with it. It's too small for the blank and too muted, mostly a very dark blue.
I found on Zazzle a really bright, mostly yellow vinyl bumper sticker that's almost exactly what I imagined. Any reason this wouldn't work, as long as I coat

Sit on tops (SOT) are hands down the way to go for kayak fishing, especially in any situation where you could take a wave over the bow. Even on a lake or pond, if a stinkpot (motorboat) comes by, their wake can swamp you in a sit inside. There's a reason kayak anglers abbreviate those as SINKs.

I'm thinking about getting a slip chuck to use for finishing in my power wrapper. It seems that rather than mounting them to a motor shaft, i can just chuck them in the jaws of the chuck on my Clemens. Mudhole lists two such chucks, the Flexcoat and their own CRB. The CRB is half the cost; is there any reason to get the more expensive one? Wouldn't they both work the same?

Norman, thank you. I think i understand, but help me out. What you're describing sounds to my noob ears like a single turn inlay. How would you do a longer one, like the three turns i'm using on this rod, just keep wrapping the two threads together before you tuck the inlay thread underneath? That it?

Thank you Donald!!! I'm embarrassed to confess I'd already seen this clip but completely missed the difference in technique. Went right out to my rod room and tried it. Incredibly quick and simple. I still had five guides to go (total to ten inlays) plus the tip top, and I was dreading every one of them. This is amazing.

Working on another rod and getting frustrated. I'm putting an inlay on each guide wrap (two per guide, as they're double-footed guides) and am having trouble hiding the cut off end at the beginning of the inlay. I've watched this video, and i can usually do this with nylon thread.
I'm using a metallic as the inlay, though, and the extra "bite" is making it nearly impossible to p
