Level epoxy finish finally!!!

Hello out there in computer land, Tried something a little different on my epoxy finish and thought I would pass it along. Instead of brushes or other items used to cover the threads evenly I used the hard edge of a credit card. I must say without a doubt that this is the finest epoxy job to date that I have done. Just some helpful information if you also run into an uneven epoxy application with your method. David A Tomasch

For years Ralph O'Quinn has been pushing the use of a spatula rather than a brush for finish application. You have done much the same thing with your card. You should have no trouble moving to the spatula and may get even better results. Thanks for passing this along.

I use artist metal spatulars. I have 3 differnt sizes. Using a spatular you get smooth even coverage.

Also called artist's pallet knives. You can get a variety at any good art supply store.

I have had my very best success with a credit card cut up into different shapes. Simple square tips have done the best for me. I make them various widths, so I can apply and level an entire wrap in a single pass. No bubbles, and MAN is it fast! So fast it is crazy!

Thanks for that suggestion! Sorry I can't rember exactly who it was, but THANK YOU!
