I have used U40 Cork Sealer for years with excellent results. Gives a nice caramel antique look to the cork especially if it has some good grain. Re: sealing cork

Mike, I agree. Cork sealant gives the grip an instantly good feel when grapsped. I too like the look of the grain showing through. Each cork handle will give a little bit of uniqueness. Aside from the appearance qualities (some may not want) the utility of its protection from dirt and grease are worth consideration. It's not meant to seal deeply penetrating into the cork, so in time you may want to lightly sand the cork handle and reapply. Not a big deal since it takes so little time to finish. A good product even for your factory rods or otherwise. Often will refinish a customer's older cork handle after sanding and usually very appreciated bit of 'talent' that will be recognized. I highly recommend U40 Cork Sealant. Follow instructions on the jar and you won't fail. Rich Re: sealing cork

U40 all the way. It's the only cork seal I've found that does not alter the feel of the cork and it actually works as a sealer. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
