I've been reading some past posts about building a crappie rod from a flyrod blank and saw some mentions of using a tennessee sensor grip. Can someone chime in here with some information about this grip? I have no idea why you would use it or in what situation. I am thinking of using a 5wt blank to build on with no rear grip since I will be fishing mostly open shallow water. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Steve Re: Tenn. sensor grip?

For the most part it is a graphite tube supported by brick foam arbors. You either tape on your reel, or use nylon sliding hoods. Very light and tough. Some love them, some hate them. Several of the sponsors sell these in kit form. ............. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
