I am building a 9' 7wt rod (Diamondback 2pc), and the guide spacing charts I have seen put the last guide in the tip section directly on the ferrule. Is that acceptable, or should I try re-aaranging the guides so that that does not happen? TIA, KB Re: Wrapping Guides on Ferrules

No it's fine that way. From what I read about stress between guides, that might even help to take any compression stress off the ferrule. Go ahead with it. It'll be fine. Re: Wrapping Guides on Ferrules

Great! Thanks for the help ya'll. Since I posted this message I did some more searching on the net and have found some more spacing guides that specifically say the guide will be on the ferrule. Thnaks again. BTW, this is a great resourse you have here. Thanks for the forum. KB Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
