Rich, Order them from Clemens. I have both the Gudebrod plastic one and the metal one with a sharp tip that I use to compress threads on cross wraps and weaves. I like the plastic one to burnish the NCP thread. Ellis

Any smooth tool will work., just watch out for sharp edges. I even use enamale covered chop sticks that I have beveled the end on to use as a packing push tool, I also use artist paint spatuals to compress threads. One of my best tools is a old butter knife

I use the handle of my flytying scissors. They are actually German made iris scissors (surgical scissors). The rings are as smooth as it gets. Look at some of your scissors you may already have a good burnisher and not know it. Otherwise, Golden Witch, as mentioned above, has 5 to choose from.

I use a small metal yarn tool for a burnisher, and a thread pick (looks sort of like a sewing needle with a wooden handle) for packing threads, all from Jo-Ann Fabrics.They cost like $1 apiece.

A dubbing needle is all you need for packing, burnishing and applying finish to wraps.

I may be a bit late to reply but I use an old Dental "Beaver-Tail" burnisher. SS White - Bur 2. Find it great for wrapping and weaves.
