Over the past 50 years there have been published many books on rod building. They all have unique ideas on how to build a rod and you can even use them on todays blank. As for rod builders statements on how to do a certain thing what one must consider what is appropreate for him or her. Nothing is a cureal in rod building and I certainly do not belive in short cuts. What I have done in the past 25 years of building rods is to incorpreate every thing I have read, seen or have been told in to my rod building system. Dick French told me once that nothing in rod building is cut into stone. Everthime you build a new rod it is an experment on your knowledge. I would all most gaurentee you well never build any 2 rods alike unless you tack exact mil. measurements each time, but who wants a copy cat. Hve a Happy New Year to all Bob Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
