the equal angle guide set-up makes perfect sense to me. i'd like to try it. are there some detailed instrucitons on how to build one somewhere? i read through the article a couple of times, but couldn't figure out exactly where the part of the spine finder went that holds the tip of the blank, in relation to the point that your angles start from. also how do you make the part of the verticle spine finder that the butt sets on? i guess what i'm trying to ask, is does anybody have a detailed how-to plan for this system? if the guy is going to be selling something, and doesn't want plans passed around, that's ok too, just tell me where to buy it! thanks, matt Re: EA guide set-up plans

I am purely speculating, but I believe I can answer your questions. First, the spine finder can be purchased from CLemens Tackle, or you can make one yourself. But, let me save you some headache. I searched all over trying to find a do-it-yourself way to build one and couldn't do it much cheaper than buying one from Clemens. Second, and this is just assumption, is place the blank on the spine finder anywhere along the pegboard. It would make sense to ensure your pegboard is hung with the holes being plumb (perfectly vertical). This way take the blank up the board right in line with a row of holes and once is deviates 1/2" you have your starting point. So, once you have set your blank with tip flexed, simply position the plexiglass angle thingy (don't have the article on hand and can't remember the name) to accomodate the position of the blank. Does this make sense? Hope so. BTW, I think the only portion of the system he is going to be selling is the plexiglass with the angles already on it. I don't believe he is trying to protect "trade secrets" or he wouldn't have published in RM. Don is very sharing with information and knowledge. Again, I am just speculating as to how the above is done. Somebody please chime in if I am incorrect. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
