Road Trip Report

I just got back from visiting my family in Nashville TN. I can not be there in January for the conclave. So I made a "silk purse out of a sow's ear", we went to Bass Pro Shop and a couple of local fly shops, but, the highlight of my trip was driving down to Custom Tackle Supply, just south of Nashville, in Shelbyville. A 45 minute drive through Tennesee Walker Country. Very easy to find. I called ahead, that morning, and they gave me good directions. I met with Bob McKamey, the owner. Great guy to talk to, friendly, sharp, and knows his rodbuilding. He has a large inventory, and was very organized. I did some after Christmas shopping and the prices were very good. Custom Tackle Supply is one of this board's sponsors. I was pleased with the selection, service, and prices. I will be doing more buiness with them in the future. Look him up at the conclave.
