I'm building some boat rods for a friend for party boat flounder and blue fishing in NJ. What is your take on the Forecast E-glass blanks, specifically the BATSWB70M and 70MH.

We have built several of these for Blues and Stripers (M, MH, & H) and Tautog (MH) and everyone has been happy with the final product.

The only negative thing I can say about them is that the tip sizes sometimes vary within a model whereas most of the big name US blanks all meet the same specs.

Overall, I think you will be pleased with the blank.

Ken,
I have been building the blanks for around 2 years, The blanks make 3 or 4 types or rods just by chopping the tops.If you are looking for a good flounder blank try ATackle's #7140 capt. ray

Ken I don't have experience with those particular blanks but I have used the Forecast line of blanks and found them to be very good.
