Good Morning Everyone......
Has anyone ever heard of or used a "Lone Star" Bass fishing rod ??
I know they are sold in Cypress, Texas, and that is close to Houston,. which makes me think, they might be a "private label" rod......
Any input, would be appreciated...........

Thank You.....
MaryLou

MaryLou, in Cypress there is a rodbuilding company named American Rodsmiths. Rather, they are now in Magnolia in a larger facility than used to be. Might be they have a Lone Star series, I don't know. They have a website
Greg Doll is in Katy, works out of the house, called Lone Star Custom Rods.
At one time there was a young fellow named Jerry something, had started a Lone Star Rod in San Antonio. Had spoken with me at one of the main Houston fishing shows about 15 years ago. We were discussing his sending me the assembled rods minus guides and wraps for me to complete the work, then market in the Houston area. Don't think he is still in business.
There may be an independent builder in that area who sells under the Lone Star name, am just not personally familiar with it.
Sorry about not being more help, Gary

Now I'm curious, going to have to do some looking around.

Oh, yeah, there is also Texas Tackle Factory based in Victoria. They sell a Lone Star series, but whether they make them or purchase from someone else, I have no idea. Gary
