Taking a shot at using the foam spacers on my reel seats. Question. Is the 2 that came in the package enough? Are they installed flush with the outside edges of the seats or do you inset them some? Re: foam spacers

For lighter rods with an up locking reelseats, after I determine the reel I am going to use and cut down the length of the reelseat, many times I will be able to use just two spacers (arbors). I prefer to have the arbors inset (pushed in) about 1/8" to 1/4" to allow the epoxy from the for grip some space to go and to get more of the spacer centered underneath the reelfoot. The rear spacer is also inset about the same to get the spacer, again, more centered under the reel foot. Goodluck. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
