well just finished first 2 rods.st croix 6' ultra lite and a 6'6" allstar casting rod. when i figure out how i will post pictures.one thing happened i have a question on. when i was finished with epoxy(ls supreme) everything looked great. no visible bubbles just looked awesome. about half hour later there were two large bubbles on the butt weave section. where did they come from? is it common for this to happen and should you come back and check every once and awhile?thanks, rick. Any air that got trapped when you applied the finish (thread sometimes holds air) will eventually try to escape. You hope this happens when the finish is still liquid enough to permit it. Any that escapes later will either be trapped, or escape but leave a bit of a crater where the finish was too solid to fill back in. It's always a good idea to check your rod every few minutes during the first 30 to 45 minutes or so in case of a bubble, lint, dry area, etc., problem. ........... Re: 1st two rods
