I do rodbuilding as a home based business. Do not do alot of inventory stuff, but just wondering what you guys use for accounting software? I need something very basic, preferably single entry.

Ditto, Quick Books. Works pretty well and is easy to learn, well maybe I better qualify that since I am "in the business". If you will get your CPA or other tax advisor to help set it up you can do all the processing and have good records ready for tax time and something you can use all year.
