Does anyone make, or sell foul-proof guides, in black, and in sizes suitable for use on a 9 wt. fly rod? The only ones I could find (at Mud Hole) were Perfection guides, but these appeared to be too large (10 being the smallest), and were silver.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't belive you can purchase foul-proof guides any more. Why not put a good set of sic or Harloy ultra light guides on. Foul Proof guides

Sevier Manufacturing has a nearly identical guide to the Aetna version. Ask your supplier to obtain them for you from Sevier. I need to take a look at AMTAK as well, they may also have a similar version.

I hate to get involved with this question,just shows how old some of us are, but I think Aetna had the first Spin guides that were called foul proof, some other companies had their own version,at about the same time a heavy frame boat rod guide was also available and called foul proof also, by many users and vendors, add to the fact that snake guides have the same basic shape and it could lead to confussion as to what type are being inquired about.

I am referring specifically to the old Aetna type. The type shown at Mud Hole are both the boat rod and the spinning type, difference being wire diameter.
