by green do you mean the color is green, or the wood is green i.e. not dried yet?

Some sources for exotic turning woods would include Woodcraft Supply; Craft Supplies in Provo UT; Venneri sells wood blanks.

By all means try www.eisenbran.com for all your wood needs. Tell Clay what you need and he will have it and hand select for color and figure.

clemmens has an insert they call angler's green, pretty sharp, I don't know if they have that particular color available in a turning stock form, you will have to check with dick french.

Your description of the color sounds just like lignum vitae; South/Central Americas, a contender for the hardest wood known. The logs don't float in the river, making it hard to harvest. Used for mallets; fittings and bearing blocks in wooden ships; handplane soles. Hibdon carries it but won't sell small quantities; I agree Eisenbrant is my next choice.
