Fuji K Guide Setup MHX Blank

I am in the process of ordering guides for my next Bass build on a MHX MB843. I plan on trying to incorporate the Fuji K guides for this build and spiral wrapping them. What size guides and "model numbers" do I need to purchase? Thanks again for your help.

If you are going to use titanium guides, then use the RV6 (only comes in titanium) for your stripper followed by a KW 5.5 or KB 5.5 as a transition guide. The runners will be all the same size KB/KT (5, 4.5, or 4). If titanium guides are too rich for you, then use a KW10 as the stripper, a KW5.5 as a transition guide and KB/KTs are runners in the size of your choice. The new corrosion control K frames with an Alconite or Fazlite ring in either a CC (matte silver) or BC (dark gray) finish are really nice.

Norman is spot on. The RV 6 will be the only expensive guide (Black Titanium II $9.96) and you can go cheap with the runners (SS frames Alconite/Fazlite). A KB 5 ($2.55) can also be used as the transition guide then all 4s ($2.30) for runners. I would go to KBs till the last 3 to the tip and then go to the KTs. Most of the Bass guys I know like size 5 rings instead (conventional on top ) of 4 mm but I have found the 4 mm works great with the spiral wraps. Since it is for fresh water use you can get by with Stainless Steel or painted SS frames.

I would start with a #8 then #6 db. foot then a #5 fly and 4.5 to the tip...

Hi Derrek

Not sure if you looked at these - but we have a Fuji casting kit put together (just choose your options) and it also has guide recommendations listed on the page.
You may decide to tweak the spacing (everyone has their preferences) but this is an easy way to order the guides.
