Rod makers Magazine #18-6

Hi guys,
I have all the magazines starting from the number one. Unfortunately I do not know how I lost the # 18-6. Some of you may have a copy to buy?
I ask you why Tom does not carry out International shipments and the European retailers, where I normally buy my magazines, can not get it.

Regards

Thank you for your support

After the vents of 9/11, the requirements for mailing of magazines outside the U.S. changed. For me to direct mail even a single copy of the magazine outside the U.S. requires a special trip to the local USPS, the filling out of customs forms, and sometimes a long wait in line. I have no staff and no time to pursue such shipments.

What reseller are you referring to? I am only aware of one in Europe and they can certainly obtain any of the available back issues.

Hi Tom sorry for the delay with which I answer.
I understand your motivations unfortunately I think I will have to abandon the idea of completing my collection of your wonderful magazine.
The retailer to whom I refer is obviously Joaquim Louriero of Cork4Us, just yesterday at the time of my renewal request he told me that he is considering whether or not to follow as he has too few subscription, I am waiting for an answer I do not think he has the possibility to take a back issue only for me.

That has always been the problem for the overseas resellers as the magazines are heavy. A shipment of just 30 magazines costs about $100 in postage alone to receive, plus whatever customs duty and tariff is charged on the magazines. When you have to add the extra per copy to each subscription, it pushes the price too high for many, particularly in areas where there are few rod builders to begin with.

Hi Tom,

I'm also an international interested in your magazine - I had a quick look on the RodMaker website - taking into account the issues sending hardcopies OS, have you considered an online viewing format?

If that was available you'd be getting my money.

Regards,

Too many problems/pitfalls with online viewing. I've talked with other magazine publishers that have done it and almost none spoke favorably of it. It has led to the demise of some.

There is a RodMaker reseller in Australia. ian.drent@outlook.com
