an should keep putting on the URETHANE till it comes smooth , I know you can put URETHANE over epoxy , but will epoxy work over the urethane an hold up ??? just a question Thanks for any help William Sidney AK Re: Epoxy question ????

No problem. Just recoat with epoxy. I have done this before with no problems. I prefer Permagloss to epoxy, but that is just me. This is another thing that makes a custom rod custom.

Bill, if you do the epoxy first, to get the build needed to make them smooth, then finish with Permagloss or similar, you'll have the best of both, build from the epoxy and hard from the Permagloss. You've probably already figured this out, but just in case others have not. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
