Personally I don't think the not made in USA is the main problem. Small businesses, if they want to succeed, cannot carry huge inventory to sit on shelves until a sale, so they order less.

The level of service I get out of my local post office and the mail carrier is terrible. Mailbox door open, wet mail, flags up, flags down, mail on the ground and on the street and just wrong address all together. Several times I have had packages thrown onto my driveway when nobody is home, and sometimes when we are home. I have tried to remedy the situation with the manager and nothing gets done. You can see it in his eyes that there really isn't anything he can do about it, but he does listen. I have never gotten bad service from UPS or FedEx so I wish our suppliers could stay away from using the post office but I understand. Just my 2 cents

Steve,
If you are dissatisfied with the service from your local mail carrier, then instruct the post office to stop mail deliveries and pay for a post office box.

Then, go to the post office when you want to pick up your mail. You will have dry mail, no issue with mail on the ground and nothing stolen from the mail box.

Good luck

We never had any problems with the last 2 mail carriers. I guess a PO box is an option, I'm glad not everybody is experiencing the same things I am, there is hope !!

Didn't mean to make this about me, lots of good points made in this thread related to the original post.

with the Mail address with a PO box you have 2 address one is the PO BOX an the other is your street address, you select where it goes , just because you have a PO BOX it
will not do away with your street address , in most case's , very small Towns could be different , NO carrier only a post office ,

The USPS will deliver to any and all PO Boxes. Those boxes are theirs.
