I was asked by a friend to build him a spinning rod for trolling bottom bouncers with crawlers or a Rapala that is 6'6". I was thinking about a MH power rod with a slow or mod action. Does that sound like the correct rod to meet his trolling needs or not even close? And of course he wants to keep it under $100 if possible. Any step in the right direction would be very appreciative.
Thank You, Brandon Re: Trolling Rod

I used a Rainshadow CB70MH that I used and I like it. I made it as a baitcaster though. Re: Trolling Rod

How heavy a weight is he trolling?
For Walleye we usually like something with some "give" in the upper half for those light biters. Best wishes, Ron Schneider Schneider's Rod Shop Mountain Home, Arkansas [www.schneidersrods.com] mtnron40@yahoo.com 870-424-3381 Re: Trolling Rod

He uses 1 - 1.5oz bottom bouncers usually pulling a crawler harness. Would the MHX CCB834 be a good option? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
