how to repair small blemishes on decal finish

how do i repair small blemishes on my decals where a piece of trash made a high place on my finish? after i nip it off with a razor blade what is the esaiest way to apply finish to that small speck?

would it be ok to lightly brush on some threadmaster one by rod dancer over the blemish?

Rather than applying the finish only to the blemished area, I would recoat the entire decal with a thin coat of epoxy finish.

If the nip is small enough, you may just leave it alone. But I, as Norm does, apply finish to the whole area. I've never found a way to "touch up" a spot like that without it showing more than the "nip."
