The price difference is $90. Will I be able to tell a difference? Has anybody used both? Re: RS IMMWS 62mxf vs SC 5S63mxf

Marty,
As much as I love the Immortals, I will say that I think you will find the SCV to feel much more crisp in your hand and believe the sensitivity IMO will be a step above the Immortal. If you look in the SCIV and SCIII lineups you will see multiple options as well that I feel would be more on par with the performance of the Immortal. Look at pages 6 & 7 in the St Croix Catalog for what they have. Either company is great and have awesome products. What about an eternity? They offer the ETES68MXF-SS, a little longer than what you asked about but certainly on par with the SCV and well above the Immortal and is cheaper than the SCV as well. What are you building the blanks out for? Tom Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/01/2018 09:13AM by Thomas Kaufmann. Re: RS IMMWS 62mxf vs SC 5S63mxf

Will probably use for 3/8 oz mirrodines for seatrout and small tubes & senkos in rivers for spotted bass. I have a SC 5S66mlf that I love; so am looking for something a smidge heavier. I currently use a HM MHX MB812xf for the mirrodines, but I fish from the bank and would like a shorter rod. I am also assuming the HM MHX I have would be similar to the 5s68mxf. I have even thought about the 59mxf to keep it short. What do you think? Re: RS IMMWS 62mxf vs SC 5S63mxf

The 812 is a nice blank for sure, I am not a big mhx guy but I sure do like that one. I think the 63 mxf would work well , however the senko makes me think you should go to the 4s510 mxf it has more power than the 63 mxf and will still easily handle the mirrodines with ease and will hammer the hook harder on the tubes and senko and give you more control Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
