Taking some old guides off a graphite blank. How can I remove
the epoxy from the blank that seeped through the thread?
Thanks

Gentle heat and a single edged razor blade.

Heat the epoxy just enough to soften it, and then use the razor blade to cut off the epoxy and threads holding the guide onto the blank.

Good luck

rub something like a popsicle stick over the residue. Fingernails work as well. If you are going to put a guide back in the same place, a bit of 400 sandpaper can be used and thread extended a wrap or two to cover any scar marks. Heat can soften.......and melt blanks. Don't ask how I know that.

A hair dryer on low should be OK.
Just be very cautious with heat on blanks.
Don't ask me how i know that!

Best wishes,

Gentle heat and an old credit card, which will not scratch the finish on most rods.
