Deep cranking blank?

I am building a rod for deep cranking-20ft plus and would appreciate suggestions please. I have been considering the MHX CB 906 / CB907 or the CB928? I am a bit concerned the 928 may be a bit too heavy? Has anyone built on this one?
Any other suggestions?
I plan to go to the expo and am hopeful to see these there as well as others.

There are a lot of good options from several manufactures. Phenix makes a really good blank for this application.

I have built on the Phenix,MHX, St. Croix, Bushido, and Rainshadow. They have all performed well.

The CB928 and CB968 were specifically designed for the 10XD in mind. Honestly the CB907 will still handle it as it has incredible versatility to not only fish up but also down in crankbait sizes. Most anglers who want a dedicated 20+ footer rod use one of the CB 8 powers, those who throw a 20+ a little but fish 8XD-6XD much more tend to go with the CB907.

James,

Point blank 761MF. This might be an option for you.

For our high-end RainShadow we'd recommend The Judge JDGCB710H (Made in USA) blank - [www.rainshadowrodblanks.com]

You can also go with the Revelation Crankbait REVCB80H - [www.rainshadowrodblanks.com]

Actually went with the 907 and once completed will determine if something else is needed for the 10xd's
