Does one need to use the same brand for color preserve and finish or should it work? Thanks...Kevin Re: Flex Coat color preserve with U-40 finish

No. I use Flex Coat CP and ThreadMaster Lite build. The color preserver forms a protective coat over the threads (and whatever else you put it on). Once dried, it has no reaction with the finish so you can use the brand of your choice. Re: Flex Coat color preserve with U-40 finish

Most any color preserver will work with most any epoxy. They do not need to be of the same company.

Kevin,
Or, as I do on the bulk of my rods. Wrap the rods, apply the epoxy finish and call it great. I much prefer the translucent look of the wraps with no CP applied to the thread. Good luck Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
