I have a guy looking for a S glass rod. He wants to use it for catfish and sturgeon. I need to be in the 7 foot range and have a sensitive tip for the sturgeon bite but yet have enough backbone for a 70 lb fish. I haven't found anything for this yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Re: S Glass Blank

We’d recommend our Made-in-USA RainShadow The Judge Live Bait rod blanks. They have S-Glass tips with graphite in the butt, which will give it the backbone you’re looking for.
JDGLB70L-CG 15-30lb, JDGLB70ML-CG 20-40lb and JDGLB70M-CG 20-50lb (though we think this will be overkill) - [www.rainshadowrodblanks.com] You can also go with our RCLB series, it’s E-Glass with graphite but will have that feeling of S-Glass James Taylor Batson Enterprises BatsonEnterprises.com | RainShadowRodBlanks.com | ALPSForeCast.com | Build2Fish.com Re: S Glass Blank

Rodgeeks XC blanks, they are made from S Glass and carbon. The 733 which is 17-30# weighs in at 4.9oz, it is 7'3 so you can cut 3" from the butt to get it to the length you want.
[rodgeeks.com] < specs are at teh bottom of this link on teh entire 7'3 series, they just came out with 8' blanks in the XC lineup last week. Another ROdgeeks option is the SG series, specifically the XH and XXH. They are longer than what you are looking for at 7'11, but can be cut back Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
