Yes I have used one many times and have not had any issues with the labels. I do tapper the ends and put a thread wrap on both ends.

I use one and have found it works best if you put a coat of epoxy on first before applying the label/decal. I also use CP over the top of the decal and around the edges to keep epoxy from getting underneath and pealing it up.
