David, thank you for the information. I have used orthodontic bands before and they work OK. I will check out the mudhole tubing and maybe I can add that to my order, since my titanium guides are on backorder....grrr. Thank you for the suggestions!

Mudhole now has the orthodontic bands as well.

My experience with 2 rods wrapped with size 5 kt’s.

I’m a new builder, and surprisingly, had no issues handling the small guides.

Because I had them, I used the orthodontic rubber bands. Would use 2 bands, doubled over, for each guide. Worked perfectly. Would cut the band as I got near it with a dental pic and scissor. Great for last second adjustments.

They do come in different sizes, so adjustments may be needed.

I also got the CRB Micro Guide bands, but don’t like them. Way to small for the first few guide, couldn’t slide them into position on blank.

You're right Stuart, I'm not sure why they don't offer 2 or 3 sizes. I managed to purloin a few different sizes from a local orthodontist.

I found you can buy different size orthodontic rubber bands online.
