Hello fello rod builders. I was looking for detailed info concerning using the fuji guide concept for determining guide placement for a centerpin float rod. Any info would be great. Thanks

It's identical, rod length and style has no bearing except the runner sizes can change depending on whether knots most pass through the guides, freezing tempertures icing guides, etc.
Caught me pre-coffee, should have mentioned I used a light spinning reel for light rods and a larger reel for the medium heavy ones to line up the tall guides, after I got the pattern done, I just wrote down the measurements for future builds. Than I just take a quick eyeball down the rod to insure I see the bulls eye before wrapping.

The issue I have with this concept for the centerpin reel is how do I measure the reel? Simply use the true diameter of my reel in the equation?

Since the reel doesn't cast the line it's irrelevant, I just use a spinning reel sized to the rod and line used get the line path figured out.
