Dale Clemens blanks

Hey Guys,

I just came into a number of old dale Clemens blanks. I have 2 versions of 7' graphite rods with a bit of a spiral finish. I think these may have been made by Shakespeare. No numbers on them. I also have (2) 81-51-03 and (1) 81-71-02. Pretty sure these were made by Lami. I am guessing that "81" is for graphite, the 5 and 7 are length in ft. I would say the 5' blanks are ultralight and the 7'(2pc) is a light FW blank.

Anyone have any more info on these? value?

Thank you.

Rick

Value would be nil, unless you find someone that has a particular affinity or use for them. But they are as good now as they were then. Any value might be in using them.

Tom is correct, a similar Fenwick HMG blank sold for $50 in the same catalog.

Thanks guys. they had me fooled, seemed very similar to Lami graphite. Could you also check this number for a 7' blank - 4-91? Thanks so much.

Clemens had some blank made for them so even if Lamiglas (or whoever) made them, they might not correspond to the same blanks offered directly by the manufacturer.

Clemens graphite blanks went under the name Custom Builder and I think (think!) they were Lamiglas. Rick this -4-91 thing, can you provide any more info? I have 89, 93, 99 catalogs.

No, they may not have been Clemens blanks but were part of a large lot. Thanks for the info.

Pretty sure that Lami made a line of blanks with the same specs as Lami GLB for Clemens. I remember comparing GLB841M with the Clemens version way back and they appeared to be the same blank, less the Lami warranty.
