Through the years American Tackle has been there with great advancements in rod building components. Of course everyone is knowledgable about the Ultimate Line Control Technology with the 5 time award winning MicroWave Guide system but what do you know about RingLock Guides?
[www.rodbuilding.org] * Pressure fit rings * Enlarged glue reservoir * Increased ring contact area * Added frame bracing * Shorter footprint * Quad leg * Atlas 316 SS If you have any questions about the large offering of American Tackle guides or other components please do not be afraid to contact us. Ya know ..... I used Ring Lock guides on the very first rod I built. In all honesty, the reason I chose them is because of the color combination they were available in. Black frame, gold nano plasma ring. Absolutely beautiful guides.
I'm kind of embarrassed to say I had forgotten how nice they truly are. I'm definitely going to have to remember them for my next casting rod build. Thanks for the reminder Don. Re: ><> RING LOCK GUIDES <><

Love the micros, the foot shape is more secure due to the shape and I believe this a wise design given the shorter length of foot. Haven't had any problems with them or the old Fuji (with straight feet), but it the American Tackle foot design is obviously superior and will remain secure over time with no Forhan lock wrap. Very nice.
Oversized/curved braces on the micro tips have proven themselves a good design as well, especially with light braids after line break-in. It does help to "shed" the line and avoid tangles at the tip if line is slacked and wraps on a bounce. Keep up the good work, we'll keep buying. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
