Hi
Anyone have luck painting chrome guides black. Is there a paint or chemical to dye the the frame. Black nail polish, gun bluing? I am sure anything applied will wear off so I am looking for something that will last at least a season. I want to paint Pac-Bay minima 4 chrome guides Thanks Re: Painting Chrome

you can powder coat them with the protec jig paint or use gun blueing/selenium dioxide but you have to consider that gun blueing is a type of acid and etches the metal surface and will ware off it constantly burnished from the line The best day to be alive is always tomorrow !! Think out side the box when all else fails !!! Wi. Re: Painting Chrome

I agree with Phil. Get the TIBlack guides, they cost more but will look and wear a lot better than painted guides, and will probabaly save you time and money in the long run.

Check with an automobile customizing website. They probably have posts and information about auto customizers painting chrome bumpers black. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
