How much time can you wait in between the first coat of finish, then applying the decal and the application of the second coat of finish. I am using ThreadMaster Lite formula, two part resin and hardener. Re: Decal Application and second coat of finish

As long as the first application is set well enough that you don't damage/upset it, you can apply a second any time after that. If you're working with a water based decal, I would probably get the first application a full day's time to set before applying the decal.

Thanks Tom.That worked. I knew I needed to let it set but wasn't sure if I could wait that long and still apply another coat. I had been using another brand and from the directions with that brand read to apply second coat within 6-10 hours and that finish I knew would still be tacky. This is the first blank where I needed to apply finish and then apply the blank. The previous builds I was able to apply the decal straight to the blank and then apply the finish. David, Just finished a build using fingernail art decals (sports teams) I recommend a full day of drying before any epoxy is applied. The build was Awesome. Very well received!!
