suggestions for a blank

A buddy wants a 6' to 6" spiral wrapped bait caster to use 3/4 oz. jigs with braided line for lake trout. It's a little heavier than I usually build and am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a blank.

Thanks,
frank

We’d recommend from our line of RainShadow Rod Blanks, though they’re 7-foot.

Revelation – REVIP70MH or 70M - [www.rainshadowrodblanks.com]

Bushido Mag Bass by American Tackle are very nice, good price. MB68/10-17 6'8'' Fast M 1 10 - 17. 1/4 - 3/4. 5 0.505 2.06

or MB68/12-20 6'8'' Fast H 1 12 - 20. 3/8 - 1. 5.5 0.521 2.35

I have the latter, have used it baitcasting for King Salmon, casting with 1/2 and 3/4 oz. Little Cleos, and am very pleased with it. It is a "stout rod." Also have cast the large Rapala Glide Raps for musky, although have not connected yet.
