11 foot 2 1/4 pound test curve printed on rods. Understand that this is a european measurement of deflection. Looking for a similar acting ro blank to replace rod broken by a heartbroken buddy. Any ideas?

Not a surf rod, a freshwater rod used for carp, etc.

No longer sold in the US. They were very popular down here for spillway fishing for hybrid striped bass and stripers. Also made a nice light surf rod. I have stripped down and refurbished a bunch of these rods with better components. What part of his rod broke, tip section or butt section? I have an extra tip section if needed.

When will Cabela's change its name to "Bass PRO," or is a single-species fishing tackle company too restricted?

As I understand the situation, both Cabela"s and Bass Pro will continue as they always have. Only both owned by the same parent co.

I hope Bass Pro makes some improvements in Cabelas' fishing department. My wife and I a few years ago drove from Maryland up into Pa to visit the new Cabelas store there. Her comment to me was , I think you have more rods on your boat than there are in the store. Not a fishing friendly supplier, at least here anyway.

Hear there's a big for the US carp fishing store in OK. They may have blanks, etc. also. Name unknown.
