In the past Hypalon was the grip material of choice for many rods, but recent changes in the laws have made it impossible for Hypalon to be manufactured or imported to the USA. Well there’s where we come in, after testing various materials for a suitable replacement we came across EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer). This is a synthetic foam rubber material that has the same characteristics of hypalon, but is legal to make and use in the USA.

Hi,
Great to see that there are manufacturers that are putting effort in finding new handle materials. Few questions: How does it glue? I know EPDM has good chemical resistance, but maybe that makes it harder to bond it with epoxy? How does it feel...hard (like matagi eva), or soft (like the "cheaper" eva) Thank you!
