New member long time lurker! I built a wrapping jig others may be able to get some ideas from...

Just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to join and I have used the board a lot as a lurker trying to figure out more info on wrapping jigs. I finished up a new wrapping jig made out of crutches and a plastic cutting board that I wanted to share and possibly get some input on. I thought it may give people some ideas on making a jig and if anyone has an thoughts on improvements, I would love to hear them as well!
[youtu.be] That is the YouTube video I made that shows some of what went into making it and a short demo of operation. Thanks!

The Sully was one of the hand wrapping devices I studied up on! I liked a lot about it and that is where the spring thread clamping idea came from. What I didn't like about them is how loose the supports seemed to be on the dovetail they slide in and I also prefer to have my line lay on the blank at the front where I can see it better from a seated position.

Hey, thanks for the subscription on YouTube! It wouldn't take much to make it a power wrapper at all.

Yes sir, I am still making them. I put a link in the YouTube video in the description box.

I saw your question on YouTube and answered it there as well. Thanks again for checking in with me on the wrappers!

In case anyone else reads this, I ended up designing and selling hand wrappers online and have a lot of positive feedback on them. They really work well!

Here is a link to my YouTube video that is extremely long but I wanted people to know exactly what they were getting and how to use it if they decided they wanted one.

If anyone has any questions about them, please let me know!
