Anyone tried Proseal (the new color preserver from the ProKote folks) on silk? While I prefer translucent silk wraps, sometimes a guy has to do what must be done to obtain the colors desired, especially when wrapping a darker color silk over a dark blank. Re: Proseal & Silk

The best I've used on silk is Al's CP. Angler's carried it. Have no experience with Proseal, but others I've tried streaked silk sometimes. Re: Proseal & Silk

Found this site while desperately trying to find out how to soften rod-wrap epoxy enough to correct a guide placement on the rod I'm building. Hair dryer worked perfectly - I was able to move the guide a skillionth of a whillimeter without having to remove the wraps. The rod [Temple Fork 4pc 5wt] is now on the turner with its second coat of Pro-Kote. Black winding thread with gold metallic boundaries. Thanks for being here!
