Just remember, they pay to help offset the cost of the forum you put your original post on. Don't fault them for making a commercial post - they've earned the right to do it.

I made a similar chart in excel awhile back. For me, I easily get tripped reading the measurements in simplest form. So the format of this chart helps me immensely. After seeing the guides listed here, I went back and added millimeters to it. For anyone interested, you can see it here: [1drv.ms]

Everything is formatted to print off nice and neat on one page. The first column shows what numerator of a fraction in 64th of an inch (i.e. 4 = 4/64ths). The second column is that fraction expressed in simplest form (i.e. 4/64ths simplifies to 1/16th). The third column in the fraction shown in number format to 4 decimals. The fourth column is the fraction shown in millimeters.

Note: the spreadsheet has two tabs on it: locked and unlocked. On the locked tab, you cannot access any of the cells with data in it. The unlocked tab has the same chart but it is not protected, so you can see the formats and formulas I used. If you want to print this out for your own use, print out the chart on the "locked" tab.

We have had a similar chart on our website for years. It's a free download and you can print it and put it anywhere.

Here's a link, it's halfway down the page

Matthew,
Thank you for affording all of use with a COMPREHENSIVE conversion chart. While I, others as well, may have a similar fractional-decimal-mm-letter-number chart used especially for machining, I have never seen a chart including the “0.08333 factor”. Very good to know. THANKS!!!
