So looks like one of my favorite stripper guides, Fuji TRVAG, is being discontinued .
I am looking for a replacement, I'm torn on either KBAG or KWAG.
MH bass rods....I typically go 6, 5.5, (8) 5 and tip.
Thanks in advance.
Jon

RV6 and KW10 have the same height profile, so the RV6 can be replaced with the KW10. For a KR casting rod Fuji recommends a KW 10 (or RV6) as the stripper followed by a KW5.5 as the transition guide and KB/KT runners in a size of your choice. Have made casting rods using either KW 10 or RV6 strippers and both perform very well.

Thanks....looks like the KW 8 is closer at 12.3 to the RV6 at 12.9...the KW10 is 14.6 unless I'm reading the chart wrong.

Since it is a casting rod it's the height at the bottomed the ring that counts not the overall height, which is important for a spinning rod. The height at the bottom of the ring is the same for both the RV6 and the KW10. Jim Ising corrected me on this point previously, and I thanked him for that.

Sorry, think of it as height of from blank to the base of the ring. The ring of the KW8 is closer to the blank than the ring of either the RV6 or KW10. Fuji found that this extra height helps to better control line waves and line slap coming from the reel, that is why they recommend the KW10 or RV6 for a KR casting rod. The second half of this video concerning a KR casting concept will explain much better. [m.youtube.com]
