Are all the blanks the brown GII's or are there any newer green ones in the mix? They changed the specs over time, but not really the power, or action much with the graphite upgrade. They did get a bit lighter in weight and sensitivity though. I think I have most of the specs either way, the heavier powered rods were the most changed in the specs going up in line weight and lure weight.

Best guess without more info, but can't be far off.
GSH590 : MED HVY power, 10-20 lb. line, 3/8-2 oz. lure wt., .695 butt, 5.0 tip, 4 oz. blank wt.
GSH490: MED power, 8-20 line wt., 3/8-1 1/2 oz. lure wt. .679 butt, 5.0 tip, 3 3/4 oz. blank wt.
GSH390: MED LT power, 6-20 line wt., 1/4-1 oz, lure wt., .675 butt, 5.0 tip, 3 1/2 oz. blank wt.
GIISH 290: LT power, 6-15 lb. line wt., 1/4-3/4 lure wt., .625 butt, 5.0 tip, 2 7/8 oz. blank wt.

Sage's power ratings don't match anyone else for like rated rods, for instance the LT power GIISH, GIIISH, and later CT290 versions are every bit as powerful as a medium steelhead blank/rod from any other source with similar line and lure ratings. My wife's dedicated river salmon rod is the GSH 490 and we have no problems with it unless a lot of lead is needed, but than I'm changing up more than just her rod when that much lead is necessary. The CT490 blank is now rated 12-25 lb, line, but with the same specs there after.
Hope this helps.
