Any one have anywhere to start with spacing on a HM1363-3 centerpins rod??

Guides depend on your fishing conditions, in the Pac. NW where I live I used smaller guides than they may use in the midwest, Canada, and Alaska. I also used braid.

Right. I'm on the lake Ontario Tribs. Gonna go 6 7 8 10 12 20.

Is this going to be fished in winter? I normally go 7's and the last 3 guides are your 10 12 20.. No need to step your way through all the guides.

Yeah, here in the Pac NW it rarely is in a hard freeze where it effects your line, even on bad days it's usually above freezing by 10-10:30 am, so going down to a 4mm guide is not a disadvantage for the most part. I don't build my rods for the few days it gets cold because it usually also means the wind would keep me off the water anyway, even on some 28 degree days here I was able to use Blakemore Reel Magic and dip the rod in the 37 degree water, icing was a minimal problem.

I have a 9' #8 IM-Gen 2 North fork composites blank, I would appreciate help with guide sizes and spacing. I have built a number of spinning and casting rods but this will be my first attempt at a fly rod build.
